On the first Wednesday of every month, the Corridor Manchester partners celebrate cycling with a community event at one of their institutions. This revolves around a free breakfast and includes news and updates on cycling matters pertinent to those working along the Oxford Road. We encourage Buddies to guide new and experienced cyclists along safe routes to the event. Forthcoming events are:
- Wed 8th Jan 2014 - Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU)
- Wed 5th Feb 2014 - Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM)
- Wed 5th March 2014 - University of Manchester (UoM)

Subsidised bike locks available
Staff and students can now benefit from subsidised, good quality bike locks for only £15 (RRP £35). The scheme has been set up to improve security and encourage cycling. You can buy your lock from the online shop and collect on campus. Please note that you need to have had your bike security marked to be eligible, see below (however, you can get your bike marked when you arrange to collect your lock at a bike marking event). Go to the online shop website to purchase.
Free Overt Cycle Marking
Staff and students are invited to bring along their bikes to one of the frequent events to get them registered on the University’s database and the National Property database Immobilise.
Frequent bike marking events are held. See the list of dates and locations on the Security website
